Where healing finds it’s
At The Nest, I believe therapy should be a safe and empowering space for everyone. As someone who has been on both sides of the table, I know that the counseling process can be scary and can seem overwhelming. Do you feel like a round peg trying to fit into a square hole? Do you feel like you have been treating your mental illnesses for years, had several different diagnoses given to you, but never feel like you’re getting any better? How about feeling like you’re experiencing chronic fatigue, feeling exhausted regardless of the amount of sleep that you get. When I was opening the Nest, I truly saw a need for a different type of counseling provider. One who truly meets their client’s where they are at and helps them navigate some of the complexities of their symptoms that maybe don’t meet the traditional mold. The traditional counseling environment can be overwhelming and can feel uncomfortable, which can be really challenging for clients, particularly if they identify as neurodivergent or experience other challenges that make this process even more challenging than it already is.
How am I different? I'm a neurodivergent, queer therapist and my approach to therapy is a little bit eclectic due to my experiences, I've worked with a variety of different people with different stories and different presentations. Everyone is different, no one presentation is the same, and has their own unique story.
